ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the digitalization of all operational functions of the National Tariff Commission to ensure transparency, efficiency, and improved service quality, reported 24NewsHD TV.
PM Shehbaz Sharif issued the directives during a review meeting in Islamabad, highlighting that the effective performance of NTC following institutional restructuring is critical to boosting domestic industrial growth and attracting investment.

He instructed the commission to resolve legal and administrative issues under a comprehensive strategy to promote industry, trade, and investment, while facilitating investors and protecting them from procedural complexities.
The Prime Minister emphasized adopting international best practices, modern technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation to revamp the commission. He also directed simplification of the legal processes in the NTC Appellate Tribunal and stressed timely disposal of cases within a defined timeframe.
Shehbaz Sharif called for staff training to meet global standards and the hiring of professional experts to guide reform implementation. The Chairman of NTC briefed participants on ongoing legal, administrative, and financial reforms aligned with the Prime Minister-approved roadmap.
The meeting was attended by Muhammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Musadik Malik, Ahad Khan Cheema, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar, and other government officials.
