PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets US Vice President JD Vance, Discusses Regional Peace and Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with US Vice President JD Vance, during which both leaders discussed bilateral relations and key regional issues.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting was also attended by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner from the US side, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi accompanied the Prime Minister.

The statement said that detailed discussions were held on prospects for peace, stability, and mutual cooperation in the region.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting sustainable peace in the region and said that the country would continue its efforts in this regard.

The White House also confirmed the meeting between Vice President JD Vance and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to the official statement, both sides agreed to work together for peace and stability in the region and exchanged views on important regional developments.

The Prime Minister appreciated the constructive and positive participation of the Iranian and US delegations in the ongoing talks, noting that the Islamabad dialogue could prove to be a significant step toward lasting peace in the region.

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating peace, Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the negotiations would further enhance trust and cooperation between the two sides.
