PM Shehbaz Emphasises Timely Completion of Federal Projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that the timely completion of ongoing federal development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains a top priority of the government.

According to details, public representatives from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa met the prime minister in Islamabad, where discussions focused on the province’s political situation, public issues, governance challenges, and the status of federal development projects.

The prime minister said the federal government was fully aware of the difficulties faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that serious efforts were being made, within constitutional limits, to ensure sustainable solutions. He reiterated that completing federal development projects on time was a key government objective.

During the meeting, participants described the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government as unsatisfactory, pointing to weak governance and neglect of public concerns. Prime Minister Shehbaz directed the representatives to make the resolution of public problems their foremost priority.

He also said that youth are a valuable national asset and reaffirmed that the merit-based laptop scheme would continue in the future.

The prime minister announced the formation of a committee headed by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, which will visit Peshawar to review the progress of federal development projects.
