PM Shehbaz Announces Restoration of Gas Connections for Domestic Consumers
Shehbaz Sharif recalled that during the PDM government in 2022, ensuring gas supply was a major challenge.
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the reopening of gas connections for domestic consumers across the country, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the public.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad marking the launch of RLNG gas connections, the Prime Minister said that providing gas to domestic users has been a key public demand and the government has now decided to meet it.

Shehbaz Sharif recalled that during the PDM government in 2022, ensuring gas supply was a major challenge. “At that time, gas was not available, and we had to apologize to applicants despite having the infrastructure ready,” he said.
The Prime Minister revealed that millions of applications for new gas connections have already been received, and with today’s decision, the people’s long-awaited demand has finally been met.
