PM Shehbaz Affirms Commitment to Education, Meets Promising Student from Balochistan
Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his government’s dedication to education during a meeting with Ikramullah, a student from Balochistan, currently enrolled in Lawrence College Murree. The premier emphasized that the nation’s future hinges on the education and skills of its youth and highlighted the government’s efforts to provide quality education to high achievers.
Ikramullah, originally from the flood-affected area of Qila Saifullah, was granted the opportunity to study at Lawrence College under the prime minister’s directive. Reminiscing about their encounter during the 2022 floods, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his pleasure at seeing Ikramullah thrive in his studies.
In response, Ikramullah expressed gratitude to the prime minister for his support and pledged to serve the country in the future. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif encouraged him to remain dedicated to his studies and assured him of government support for his educational expenses.
Reflecting on past successes, the prime minister mentioned sending high achievers from Punjab to prestigious European and Scandinavian institutions, noting their transformative experiences upon returning to serve their country.

During the meeting, the prime minister also acknowledged the contributions of Lawrence College’s faculty, presenting gifts to Ikramullah to aid in his academic pursuits. In return, Ikramullah presented a set of books to the prime minister.
The meeting concluded with the prime minister personally seeing off Ikramullah from the Prime Minister’s House, underscoring the government’s commitment to nurturing talented youth for the betterment of Pakistan’s future.
