PM shares condolences and greets Mojtaba Khamenei on role

PM Shehbaz Sharif sends condolences and prayers to Iran. He also wishes Mojtaba Khamenei success in his new role.

Pakistan & Iran – (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has written a letter to Mojtaba Khamenei. In the letter, he shared his condolences on the martyrdom of his respected father, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He also congratulated him on taking over the responsibilities of the Supreme Leader.

The Prime Minister said the people of Pakistan are deeply saddened at this moment. He shared prayers and sympathy with the people of Iran and the wider Muslim Ummah. He said the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has brought great grief to the people of Pakistan. He added that Pakistan stands with the leadership and people of Iran in this difficult time. The PM Office Media Wing shared this in a press release on Tuesday.

While congratulating Mojtaba Khamenei on his new role, the Prime Minister said the position carries great responsibility. He expressed hope that under his leadership, Iran will move toward peace, stability, dignity and progress in the coming years.

The prime minister underscored that relations between Pakistan and Iran were anchored in shared faith, history, culture and language.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue working closely with the Islamic Republic of Iran to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across all spheres of mutual interest for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also prayed for the good health, well-being and success of Mojtaba Khamenei and for peace, stability and prosperity for the brotherly people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
