PM Shahbaz Sharif Promises Relief Through Reduced Electricity Rates

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has decided to maintain the current prices of petroleum products.

The Prime Minister stated that while keeping the petroleum prices at their previous level, the full financial benefit will be transferred to the public in the form of reduced electricity prices.

He explained that this decision is part of several other measures aimed at bringing about a significant reduction in electricity tariffs.

Regarding electricity prices, Shahbaz Sharif mentioned that a comprehensive and effective strategy is being developed under which a package for reducing electricity rates is being finalized.

He emphasized that the financial flexibility gained from the fluctuations in global oil prices and other steps would provide substantial relief to the public in terms of electricity prices.

The Prime Minister announced that the package for reducing electricity prices would be revealed in the next few weeks. He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing public relief as soon as he assumed office.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his determination to provide relief and ease to the public through a reduction in electricity rates in the coming weeks.
