PM AJK chaired Development Meeting
The meeting, which was attended by ministers and top officials of the government, reviewed sector wise progress on ongoing development projects in the region.
Muzaffarabad: PM AJK chaired Development Meeting . A review meeting regarding development was held here with Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq in the chair.
The meeting, which was attended by ministers and top officials of the government, reviewed sector wise progress on ongoing development projects in the region.
On this occasion, additional chief secretary development Ms. Midhat Shahzad gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister about the progress on various development projects launched in various sectors including electricity, roads, health, education and tourism.
While addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Haq stressed the need for early completion of all the projects. He said that there was no shortage of funds for development projects. He said that all possible steps were being taken to improve the road infrastructure to promote tourism in Azad Kashmir. “All ongoing projects should be completed as soon as possible”, he said.
Highlighting the importance of tourism industry, he said, “Developing a strong road infrastructure would pave the way to encourage tourists to visit various tourist places in region”.
He said that work on road projects should be accelerated.

The meeting was also attended by Principal Secretary Zafar Mehmood Khan, Secretary Finance Lt. (retd) Islam Zaib, Accountant General Azad Kashmir Tafakhar Ali Asadi and Irshad Qureshi. Whereas Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barich participated the meeting through video link.
