Mirpur: In a resolute declaration of dedication to the progress and welfare of Azad Kashmir, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq affirmed the government’s unwavering resolve to utilize all available resources for the state’s development and the well-being of its people.

Addressing a divisional development review meeting held in Mirpur today, Prime Minister Haq underscored the imperative for the state machinery to operate with efficiency and accountability, asserting that any delays or misuse of public funds would not be tolerated.

Highlighting his administration’s commitment to transparency and efficiency, Prime Minister Haq emphasized that proper utilization of funds and timely completion of projects were paramount priorities. He made it unequivocally clear that any instances of corruption or negligence would face swift and decisive consequences.

In a directive aimed at expediting development initiatives, Prime Minister Haq instructed local government officials to finalize all local government schemes by May 15, with a firm deadline of May 16 for scheme approvals thereafter.

Moreover, Prime Minister Haq announced the imminent release of funds for all ongoing projects in the Mirpur Division, scheduled for the second week of May. He further mandated the completion of all under-construction roads across the division before June, signaling a proactive approach towards infrastructure development.

Amidst his administration’s prudent fiscal management, Prime Minister Haq revealed significant savings amounting to 21 billion rupees from various departments, a testament to responsible governance and financial stewardship.

Underscoring the paramount importance of maintaining law and order, Prime Minister Haq reiterated the coalition government’s steadfast commitment to ensuring peace and security across Azad Kashmir.

The meeting, attended by Senior Minister Col. Retd. Waqar Noor, government secretaries, chief engineers, divisional, and district officers, served as a platform for comprehensive discussions on ongoing projects and development strategies.
