Playing 50th Test is like a dream come true, says Sarfaraz
KARACHI – Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed said on Monday he was not sure whether he would play his 50th Test match.
After making a solid statement on his Test comeback, Mr Ahmed was sharing his emotions on his return, saying he continued to put up his all-out efforts and had a confidence on Allah Almighty. Saying that many people were praying for his Test return, Mr Ahmed said when he arrived on the wicket to play, he was feeling as if he was making a debut.
Mr Ahmed credited former all-rounder Shahid Afridi for his support, saying he [Afridi] played a significant role in boosting “my morale”. He also lauded Babar Azam for guiding him and said his close friends also urged him to pay attention to cricket.
Talking about his critics, Mr Ahmed said he used to stop himself from responding to the critics, urging the critics to criticise him but not get personal.
