ISLAMABAD: (Sports Desk) – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), in collaboration with Media Cast, is set to launch the Pakistan Hockey League at 5pm on Wednesday, in an initiative aimed at reviving and promoting the country’s national sport.

According to 24NewsHD TV, the league is designed to provide Pakistani hockey players with opportunities to learn from internationally renowned stars, gain valuable exposure to high-level competition and enhance their playing skills.

The organisers said the initiative would bring the PHF, corporate sponsors and team owners together on a shared platform to encourage private-sector investment in hockey and support the sport’s development.

The proposed league is expected to help improve the overall standard of Pakistan hockey, nurture emerging talent and create new opportunities for the long-term growth of the game.

The initiative represents a collaborative effort by the hockey federation and the private sector to strengthen the sport, expand development opportunities for players and help restore Pakistan’s position in international hockey.
