PHC Attends Australia–Pakistan Business Networking Event in Sydney
Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Trade and Investment Ties with Australia
Canberra — Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Australia, Irfan Shaukat, attended a business networking event organized by the Australia–Pakistan Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry (APCC) in Sydney on 13 December 2025, aimed at strengthening commercial ties between the two countries.
The event attracted a large gathering of Pakistani and Australian business leaders, representatives of various organizations, Australian parliamentarians, and members of the diplomatic community, reflecting growing interest in enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
Addressing the gathering, the High Commissioner reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding trade and commercial partnerships with Australia. He highlighted Pakistan’s significant trade and investment potential, driven by a large consumer market and improved connectivity with regional and global markets. He also outlined key government initiatives focused on export-led growth, investment facilitation, and policy reforms designed to improve the ease of doing business.

Encouraging Australian businesses to explore opportunities in Pakistan, the High Commissioner emphasized the importance of building concrete and mutually beneficial partnerships.
He also commended the APCC for its proactive role in promoting Pakistan–Australia business relations and reaffirmed the High Commission’s full support for the Chamber’s initiatives aimed at further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
