Petroleum Minister Calls for Reforms in Gas Supply Chain

Federal Minister for Petroleum Visits SNGPL Head Office, Stresses Reforms and Efficiency

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ali Parvaiz Malik, along with Secretary Petroleum Division Momin Agha, paid an official visit to the Head Office of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) in Lahore.

The dignitaries were warmly received by SNGPL Managing Director Amer Tufail, who provided a detailed briefing on the company’s operations and key developments in the gas sector.

During the visit, Minister Malik held high-level discussions with the SNGPL management, focusing on major challenges confronting both the company and the wider petroleum sector. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring an uninterrupted and efficient gas supply, he directed the management to work with integrity, dedication, and full transparency.

He underscored the importance of adopting innovative solutions to enhance the gas supply chain and address existing flaws in the distribution network. Various strategies aimed at overcoming logistical and operational hurdles were also reviewed.
