Petrol, Diesel Prices Slashed by Rs 2.2 Per Litre in Pakistan

The revised rates will take effect from May 1, 2025.

Islamabad — In a relief for consumers, the Government of Pakistan has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, effective from midnight tonight.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been decreased by Rs 2.2 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs 252.63 per litre. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has also been cut by Rs 2.2 per litre, now set at Rs 256.64 per litre.

The decision comes amid fluctuating global oil prices and is aimed at providing economic relief to the public. The revised rates will take effect from May 1, 2025.
