Pervaiz Khattak, chief of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP), refuted recent rumors suggesting his departure from politics following the nationwide general elections held on February 8.

In an exclusive conversation, Khattak categorically denied claims of quitting the party or retiring from politics. He emphasized that such reports were baseless and misleading, asserting his continued commitment to public service.

He expressed gratitude for the recognition of his contributions by the people, reaffirming his dedication to serving them.

Regarding speculation surrounding his resignation, the PTIP chief clarified that there was no truth to the rumors circulating about his withdrawal from politics or departure from the party. He acknowledged the election results and accepted the outcome with humility, acknowledging the decision made by the electorate.

Notably, Khattak faced defeat in the general elections, resulting in the PTIP securing only two seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Last year, Khattak had formed a separate faction named PTI Parliamentarians subsequent to parting ways with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
