PDMA Issues Rain and Thunderstorm Alert for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a warning regarding potential rains accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds across the province from Thursday through Tuesday.

In response, the PDMA has instructed all Deputy Commissioners to implement precautionary measures to mitigate any risks to human life and property during this forecast period.

The PDMA’s Control Room is fully operational and can be reached at 1700 in case of emergencies.

According to the meteorological office, while most districts in the province are expected to experience mainly dry weather, hotter conditions are anticipated in the plains.

On Wednesday, dry weather is projected for most districts, but there is a chance of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in some areas, including Abbotabad, Mansehra, Dir, and Swat during the evening and nighttime hours.
