LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued no-objection certificates (NOCs) to players to participate in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Former captain Babar Azam, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Shoaib Malik, Usman Qadir, and Mohammad Imran Junior have been granted permission to play in the BPL.

Khushdil Shah, Aaqib Javed, and Salman Irshad have also received approval, and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has been given permission to participate in the BPL.

The PCB has already granted permission to Shaheen Afridi for ILT20, and Imad Wasim will also be eligible to play in ILT20.

Pakistani players have been granted permission under the clauses of the contracts included in the central contract. Some senior cricketers of the national team had requested NOCs for the BPL, but team director Mohammad Hafeez was initially hesitant to issue them.

On the other hand, unnecessary interference from the director of the Pakistan cricket team, Mohammad Hafeez, has led to increased tension within the team, sources said.

According to sources, senior cricketers are unhappy with Mohammad Hafeez’s lengthy speeches and prolonged meetings with the team. Players state that the team director’s unnecessary interference was spoiling the atmosphere.
