PCB Invites Applications for New Coaching Staff
PCB Opens Coaching Roles to Local and Foreign Experts
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially invited applications for several crucial coaching roles as it looks to reshape its national team staff ahead of a busy international calendar.
According to sources, the PCB announced vacancies for four positions, which include Batting Coach, Bowling Coach, Fielding Coach, and Strength & Conditioning Coach.
This development signals the board’s intention to strengthen its backroom staff and improve player performance through specialized support. With the T20 Asia Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 on the horizon, the timing of this recruitment drive is critical.
PCB’s coaching staff positions are open to both local and international applicants, and the PCB is expected to seek experienced professionals with a track record in elite-level cricket. Several former players have already expressed interest in pursuing these positions.
According to sources within the board, the new hires will likely be integrated across formats, despite the PCB looking for separate head coaches for white-ball and red-ball formats, and could play a long-term role in developing both senior and emerging talent.
This move comes amid a growing emphasis on a high-performance culture following recent changes in strategy and personnel. Pakistan’s cricketing leadership has been focusing on a more modern, dynamic approach—both in gameplay and preparation.
