PCB imposes ban on domestic cricket tournaments without permission

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a ban on organising cricket tournaments without prior permission, said the relevant sources.

While deciding on quality domestic cricket, it will now be mandatory to obtain permission from the PCB to organise a cricket tournament.

According to sources, players who participate in tournaments held without permission will face strong action, which will also include a ban.

Sources further said that the PCB has written to departments to form Under-23 cricket teams, and departmental Under-23 tournaments will be held at the national level.

For commercial cricket in Karachi, permission will be required from the PCB and the KCCA. In this regard, bans will also be imposed on players, as well as umpires and scorers who are involved without authorisation.
