PCB Earns Record Rs 3 Billion from ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Rs18 Billion Budget for Stadium Upgradation in 2 Phases
Lahore: Advisor to Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Amir Mir has said that PCB earned Rs3 billion from recently-concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Thursday, Amir Mir said that the PCB is going in profit ever since Mohsin Naqvi became chairman.
He said that the PCB has submitted taxes in government exchequer of Rs4 billion. He said that PCB is the one of the richest cricket boards of the world with third rank.
He said that 70 percent of construction work of Gaddafi Stadium was completed before Champions Trophy and remaining will be completed soon.
Amir Mir said that reports of financial loss to PCB in Champions Trophy on Indian media are baseless and PCB earned $10 million from Champions Trophy.
Advisor Chairman PCB Amir Mir said players from all countries enjoyed the Champions Trophy to the fullest.
India’s narrative of security concerns for players in Pakistan has ended, Amir Mir said.
Mohsin Naqvi completed the construction of Gaddafi Stadium in a short time taking it a challenge and earlier no chairman has touched the construction of the stadium in the past, he said.

He said that the ICC had allocated $70 million for the Champions Trophy and the arrangements for the Champions Trophy were made with $10 million but the expenses are yet to be audited.
The budget for the upgradation of all stadiums is Rs18 billion, which is to be spent in 2 phases, Amir Mir said.
He said the budget for the first phase was Rs12 billion, of which we have already spent Rs10 billion and in this budget, the stadiums of Karachi and Lahore were upgraded while the other stadium will be completed in the next phase.
