PCB Denies Rumors of Captaincy Changes in ODI and Test Teams
The board termed all such reports as baseless and misleading.
Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has strongly denied reports claiming that Mohammad Rizwan would be replaced by Salman Ali Agha as the captain of the national ODI team.
In an official statement, the PCB refuted all speculation suggesting that the board is considering appointing Salman Ali Agha as the new ODI captain or Saud Shakeel as the new Test captain in place of Shan Masood.
The PCB clarified that no such discussions have taken place within the selection committee, nor has there been any change in the central contract categories of any players. The board termed all such reports as baseless and misleading.
It is worth mentioning that rumors have been circulating on social media about a possible leadership change in Pakistan’s ODI and Test teams, sparking widespread speculation among cricket fans.
