PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Lauds Workers, Declares ‘We Won, They Lost’

Naqvi Expresses Confidence in National Team, Urges Support

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the National Stadium in Karachi, stating that those who claimed the stadium would not be completed are now proven wrong. Speaking at a special event honoring the workers involved in the renovation of the stadium, Naqvi said, “People were talking on social media that the stadium wouldn’t be built, but today, they lost, and we won.”

The event was held to recognize over 700 workers who contributed to the renovation of the National Stadium. The workers were greeted with a red carpet welcome, and the PCB Chairman hosted a special dinner in their honor. Naqvi personally met with each worker, expressing his appreciation for their hard work in completing the stadium renovations.

In his address, Naqvi acknowledged the efforts of the workers, saying, “Today’s special guests are all the workers. I thank you all and congratulate you for your tireless work in completing this project.” He also mentioned that there is still more work to be done at the stadium, including post-Champions Trophy improvements, but assured that the building work in Karachi has been better than in Lahore.

He praised the workers as the true heroes of the project, emphasizing that they worked relentlessly without taking breaks to finish the job. “The heroes of this project are the workers who did not take a single day off and worked tirelessly for hours,” he added.

They will deliver great results. I have confidence in Rizwan, the team, and the selectors, and they will surely succeed on the field.”
