PCB Announces Pay Raise for Women Cricketers

In a strong move to promote and support women’s cricket, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has increased players’ monthly retainers by 50 percent. This raise shows the board’s growing commitment to the women’s game.

20 Players Awarded Central Contracts

The PCB has announced central contracts for 20 women cricketers, divided into five categories. The list includes both fresh faces and players who have earned promotions based on performance.

Top Stars in Category A

Among the top names, Sadia Iqbal, currently the ICC’s No. 1 T20I bowler, has been placed in Category A. She is joined by fellow stars Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali, and Sidra Amin.

Experienced Names in Category B

Category B includes experienced players like Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, and Nashra Sandhu, who have all been consistent performers for Pakistan.

Solo Spot in Category C

Rameen Shamim is the only player placed in Category C, highlighting her presence in the national setup.
