Pakistan’s first multi-mission satellite, PAKSAT MM1, has successfully become operational with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
This achievement marks a significant step in the nation’s space and digital development. The operationalization of PAKSAT-MM1 is expected to revolutionize Pakistan’s communication infrastructure, benefiting various sectors of the IT industry.
The satellite will offer services like television broadcasting, community internet access, and tele-education, helping to boost local industries. It will also enhance internet connectivity in remote areas, aligning with the government’s Digital Pakistan initiative.
Pakistan has also improved its position in the United Nations E-Governance Development Index, climbing 14 places to rank 136, compared to 150 in 2022.
