No substance in former PTI chairman’s accusations about illegal immigrants : Solangi
Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has expressed satisfaction that the country is heading towards economic stability,
Addressing a news conference along with Baluchistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai in Quetta on Friday, Solangi pointed out that Pakistan Stock Exchange crossed 66.000 points today during trading, while dollar also depreciated.

Quoting the report of Bloomberg, the federal minister said Pakistan is on the agenda of IMF board on the 11th of next month.
Solangi said the there was no substance in the former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ‘accusations’ with regard to illegal immigrants who had returned to their countries on the voluntary basis.
“The accusations by PTI former chairman in his tweet are baseless. About 0.5 million illegal immigrants have left the country voluntarily and none of them was forced out of the country,” he said while addressing a press conference along with Provincial Information Minister Jan Achakzai.
The minister said Pakistan was acknowledged for its hospitality in the world and added the tweet was just a tactical move to gain political mileage, over other political parties in the backdrop of upcoming general elections. To a query, he said the caretaker government was fully determined to conduct free, fair and transparent elections in the country. “There should be no doubt regarding the conduct of general elections in the whole country on 8 February 2024,” Murtaza Solangi remarked.
It was the responsibility of the caretaker government to meet the financial, administrative or security requirements of the ECP, which it would discharge along with four provincial governments, he added. He reiterated that the Preamble of the Constitution clearly stated that the country would be run by its elected representatives.
Responding to a question, he said the state media will be modernized and its capacity will be increased. He expressed the confidence that the state media would come at par with the world’s best broadcasters and its future is not bleak, but bright.
Meanwhile, Murtaza Solangi issued directives to extend the duration of Hazarvi language programmes on PTV Bolan to in order to promote the culture, language and literature of Baluchistan.
During the visit to PTV Quetta Centre, the minister was briefed by General Manager PTV and heads of multiple departments regarding PTV Bolan’s transmission, news bulletins, current affairs programmes and PTV Bolan’s budget.
The minister reviewed the broadcast of PTV Bolan and directed to enhance the duration of Hazarvi language broadcast on PTV Bolan.
