Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE Advocates for IT Business Partnerships
Islamabad- (Mudassar Iqbal): Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s representative in the United Arab Emirates, expressed his full support for Pakistani exhibitors at a meeting held on Wednesday. He emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to fostering business collaborations between Pakistani and UAE-based companies.
“We are dedicated to supporting Pakistani IT firms registered in our country by facilitating joint ventures that can lead to capital being remitted back to Pakistan, thereby bolstering our national economy,” he stated during a session at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where the performance of Pakistani exhibitors at GITEX Global 2024 was reviewed.
The ambassador highlighted the significance of collaboration among leading IT companies to form consortia capable of delivering top-tier services to the global market.
Recognized as the “Tech Destination of the Year 2024,” Pakistan’s IT sector has garnered considerable attention for its innovative products and solutions, as noted in a press release.
The GITEX Global 2024 event has been a pivotal moment for Pakistan’s IT sector, further establishing the country’s growing reputation as a prominent player in the global technology arena.
The meeting was attended by various dignitaries, including Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counselor in Dubai, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, former chairman of P@SHA, Umair Nizam, Senior Vice President of P@SHA, Zeeshan Khattak, CEO of PSEB, Shahbaz Hameed, Director of PSEB, Brig. Nadir from SIFC, Ayub Ghauri, CEO of NetSol Technologies, Raheel Iqbal, Vice Chairman of P@SHA, Haris Naseer, CEO of Infotech, Amir Anzur, Chief Marketing Officer of PSEB, along with other senior officials.
During the discussions, they reviewed feedback from international delegates and explored potential partnerships with global companies.
It was reported that Pakistani firms received positive feedback, with many organizations showing a strong interest in collaborating and discovering Pakistan’s IT products and services.
Additionally, the ambassador underscored the necessity of organizing specialized IT events focusing on areas like digital transformation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
Such initiatives would not only highlight Pakistan’s strengths in these fields but also help forge stronger international partnerships, he added.
