Pakistani Players Shine in Poland, Lead Club to Super League Victory

Ehtesham Aslam credited his success to the prayers of his parents, fans, and friends.

Warsaw: Pakistani hockey players have made the nation proud on the international stage by leading their Polish club, Siemianowice Śląskie, to victory in the First Super League Cup Final held in Poland.

Murtaza Yaqoob, Ehtesham Aslam, and Abdul Rehman played pivotal roles in securing the championship for their club. Abdul Rehman emerged as the tournament’s top scorer, while Ehtesham Aslam was named both the Best Player of the Tournament and Best Player in the Semi-final and Final. Murtaza Yaqoob earned the title of Best Defender of the Tournament for his outstanding defensive performance.

The final match attracted a large crowd of enthusiastic fans, many of whom carried banners and chanted slogans in support of the Pakistani players, celebrating their exceptional display of skill and sportsmanship.

“It is a great honor to see our Pakistani heroes playing at such a high level and leading their club to victory,” said the Siemianowice Śląskie coach, adding that both senior and junior players are gaining valuable experience from them.

The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. “We didn’t lose a single match. It’s the result of our players’ hard work and strategic gameplay,” said Murtaza Yaqoob.

Ehtesham Aslam credited his success to the prayers of his parents, fans, and friends. “Being named Best Player of the Tournament is a great honor for me,” he said.

Abdul Rehman, despite suffering an injury that sidelined him from some matches, expressed pride in becoming the tournament’s top scorer. “We worked hard to bring this title home for our club, and today, Allah has rewarded us,” he stated.
