Hassan confirms 14 foreign nationals injured during clashes
Islamabad: Pakistani envoy cautions against spreading misinfo amid Kyrgyzstan unrest. Amid reports of attacks on foreign students in Kyrgyzstan, Pakistani Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hassan Zaigham has appealed to Pakistani citizens to verify information before sharing it on social media.
In a video message, the ambassador cautioned against spreading unconfirmed reports, which can cause unnecessary panic and anxiety among families and friends of those living in Kyrgyzstan.
The ambassador’s appeal comes as social media platforms have been flooded with unverified reports and speculation about the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
While confirming that some incidents did occur on Friday night, resulting in injuries to 14 foreign nationals, including a Pakistani student, the ambassador emphasized the importance of relying on official sources for information.
