Pakistani Cricketers Cleared to Play in Big Bash League, Confirms Cricket Australia CEO

Islamabad – Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg has confirmed that Pakistani players have been given clearance to participate in the Big Bash League (BBL).

Greenberg stated that Pakistani cricketers received approval to play in the BBL, and the confirmation was received last week. He expressed excitement about the participation of talented Pakistani players, saying, “We are very excited to have good players from Pakistan in the BBL and look forward to their performances this season.”

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had announced the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for national players to participate in various leagues. PCB had already allowed players holding valid NOCs to play in the BBL, following discussions with Cricket Australia.

Notable Pakistani cricketers including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Hassan Khan have signed contracts with different BBL teams for the upcoming season.
