Pakistani citizen donated $30 million to provide support for people of Turkiye and Syria

Islamabad: (Web Desk) An anonymous Pakistani citizen had donated $30 million to provide support to the quake-stricken people of Turkiye and Syria. As per information, a Pakistani American entered the Turk embassy in America and handed over $30 million without revealing his name.

According to the source, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the positive action of the individual who supported his brothers and sisters in time of need.

Furthermore so far, 24000 people have lost their lives in the massive earthquake while 800,000 people became homeless following the destruction. United Nations has appealed for $70 million for providing food to Turkey and Syria.

Meanwhile PM Shehbaz called Syrian Premier, reaffirmed steadfast support for relief efforts

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif, during a telephonic conversation with Syrian Premier Hussein Arnous, reaffirmed steadfast support for relief efforts in difficult times. PM Shehbaz also expressed his condolences on the death of the Syrian Prime Minister’s family members in the calamity, adding that the government and people of Pakistan are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of precious lives and massive damage to property in the severe earthquake.

As per details apprising the Syrian PM of the relief efforts undertaken by Pakistan for the Syrian quake victims, Shehbaz Sharif said he immediately instructed the relevant departments to provide all possible help and support to Syrian brothers in this difficult time. He added Pakistan’s Ambassador to Syria is in close contact with the Syrian authorities in this regard. Pakistan has already sent a special plane containing tents, warm clothes and blankets to Syria.

Moreover in addition, a medical team from Pakistan will also arrive in Syria very soon to provide medical aid to the injured. While the Syrian PM hanked Pakistan for demonstrating solidarity with the Syrian people at this difficult time.

Furthermore person found alive after stuck under debris and continues to recite Holy Quran

A person was found alive after he was stuck under the debris following a mamooth earthquake in Turkiye. The saved man continued to recite the Holy Quran. When he was taken out from under the debris, his eyes were closed as he was reciting the holy book.

As per details almost 23,000 people have lost their lives after the earthquake that wreaked havoc in Turkiye and Syria.
