Birmingham: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Women’s National Cricket Team will launch its campaign in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday with a highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals India Women’s National Cricket Team at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
The much-awaited encounter marks the beginning of Pakistan’s journey in the tournament, which is being hailed as the largest edition in the history of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board, the competition is being held from June 12 to July 5 and features an expanded 12-team format for the first time. A total of 33 matches will be played across seven venues in England and Wales.

The final of the tournament is scheduled to be played at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 5.
Pakistan have been placed in Group 1 alongside six-time champions Australia Women’s National Cricket Team, India, South Africa Women’s National Cricket Team, Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket Team and Netherlands Women’s National Cricket Team, making their path to the knockout stage a challenging one.
The opening match against India is expected to draw significant attention, with both teams eager to make a strong start in one of cricket’s most celebrated rivalries.
