Pakistan Women Announce Squads for South Africa Tour

Islamabad: (Web Desk) -Pakistan Women’s cricket team has announced its squads for the upcoming tour of South Africa, scheduled to begin on February 10, 2026. The tour will include both One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 matches as part of preparations for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Key Highlights:

• Captain: Fatima Sana will lead the team in both formats.

• New Inclusions: Syra Jabeen and Hamna Bilal have been included in the squad for the first time.

• Returning Players: Ayesha Zafar, Gul Firoza, Tasmiya Rabab, and Najia Alvi return to the ODI squad.

• Dual-Format Players: Ayesha Zafar, Gul Firoza, Muniba Ali, Nasra Sindhu, and Aliya Riaz will play in both formats.

• Format-Specific Players:

  • ODIs only: Diana Baig, Najia Alvi, Sadaf Shams, Syeda Aroob Shah

  • T20s only: Hamna Bilal, Syra Jabeen, Tooba Hasan, Iman Fatima

Pre-Series Preparations:

• A training camp will be held from February 1–6 at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Center in Karachi.

• The T20 matches will be played as day-night games in Potchefstroom, Benoni, and Kimberley.

• A 50-over warm-up match will be played in Kimberley before the ODI series.

• ODI matches will be held in Bloemfontein, Centurion, and Durban, with the second ODI scheduled as a day-night match.
