We Will Not Lose an Inch: Asim Munir

Field Marshal Signals Credible Deterrence, Cautions India on ‘No Space for War’ in Nuclear Era

Islamabad: Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, has issued a strong warning to adversaries, declaring that if Pakistan faces any future aggression, the response will be “much harsher than the enemy anticipates.”

Speaking at the Passing Out Parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul, General Munir reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering commitment to defending every inch of its sacred soil.

“I assure the nation that, Insha’Allah, we will never allow even an inch of our sacred land to fall into enemy hands,” he said.

Unity, Deterrence, and Vigilance

Addressing the graduating cadets, including those from Bangladesh, Iraq, Mali, Maldives, Nigeria, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, Sri Lanka, and Yemen, General Munir extended congratulations and called it a matter of great pride to inspect the prestigious parade.

“You are becoming part of one of the finest and most respected militaries in the world. You should be proud,” he told the new officers.

He paid tribute to the martyrs and their families, stating that the freedom and peace Pakistan enjoys today are a direct result of their sacrifices.

“You are heirs to our martyrs. Live a life worthy of their memory,” he said.

A Message for the Enemy

General Munir warned that Pakistan’s defense posture is based on credible deterrence and permanent readiness, covering all strategic capabilities.

“Our enemies are attempting to create a wedge between the people and the armed forces. Let me remind them, our armed forces have demonstrated unmatched capability in both conventional and sub-conventional warfare,” he emphasized.

He stated that if aggression is attempted again, Pakistan’s military response will exceed all expectations, both militarily and economically.

“Our weapons have a longer reach and can decisively dismantle the myth of India’s geographical depth. Any damage to us will be answered with far greater losses to the enemy,” he said.

Warning to Indian Military Leadership

Field Marshal Munir issued a stern warning to Indian military leadership, urging them to avoid adventurism under the false belief of strategic superiority.

“In a nuclear environment, there is no space for war between two nuclear-armed nations,” he warned. “Resolve core issues with Pakistan based on international norms, equality, and mutual respect.”

“We are not intimidated by your rhetoric. Any provocation — no matter how small — will be met with a decisive and forceful response. Any future escalation will solely be India’s responsibility, and its consequences will not be confined to the region alone.”

Pakistan’s Global Role

General Munir highlighted the shifting dynamics of global geopolitics, where military force is increasingly being used to serve political interests. In this landscape, he said, Pakistan has emerged as a net regional stabilizer.

He noted that Pakistan’s relations with global powers and particularly Muslim nations have strengthened, while its role in United Nations peacekeeping missions continues to be significant.

“Pakistan has consistently demonstrated its commitment to regional and global peace and stability,” he concluded.

The address marked a powerful reaffirmation of Pakistan’s defense posture, emphasizing deterrence, unity, and strategic clarity amid rising regional tensions.
