Pakistan vs Australia T20I Timings Revised Amid Heatwave as U-19s Begin World Cup Campaign

The start times for the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Australia in Lahore have been brought forward due to extreme weather conditions.

After consultations between the Pakistan Cricket Board and Cricket Australia, it was decided that the toss will now take place at 3:30 pm local time, with play beginning at 4:00 pm. The matches were originally scheduled to start at 6:00 pm, with the toss at 5:30 pm.

The Australian team is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on January 28, with all three T20Is set to be played at Gaddafi Stadium on January 29, 31 and February 1.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team is set to begin its ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026 campaign today against England at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare.

The Asian champions enter the tournament with strong momentum following impressive performances in recent competitions. Pakistan recorded a commanding 191-run win over India in the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in Dubai and also defeated hosts Zimbabwe by nine wickets in a tri-series, underlining their form ahead of the World Cup.

Pakistan, who have previously won the Under-19 World Cup titles in 2004 and 2006, will be aiming to claim the trophy for a third time. The 16-team tournament is being held across Namibia and Zimbabwe from January 15 to February 6, with Pakistan placed in Group C alongside England, Scotland and hosts Zimbabwe.
