Pakistan Unveil 15-Member Squad for Sri Lanka T20 Series
The Pakistan cricket team will depart for Sri Lanka in phases on January 4 and 5, 2026.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan have announced a 15-member national squad for the upcoming T20 series against Sri Lanka.
Shadab Khan has made his return to the T20 squad, while wicketkeeper-batsman Khawaja Nafi has been included in the T20 team for the first time. Salman Ali Agha will lead the Pakistani side.
Other members of the squad include Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Muhammad Nafi, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan and Usman Tariq.
The Pakistan cricket team will depart for Sri Lanka in phases on January 4 and 5, 2026. A total of three T20 matches will be played between the two teams, all of which will be held in Dambulla. The series is expected to play an important role in the selection of Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming World Cup.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has also announced the team management for the Sri Lanka T20 series. Naveed Akram Cheema will serve as team manager, Mike Hesson as white-ball head coach, Ashley Noffke as bowling coach, Hanif Malik as batting coach, and Shane McDermott as fielding coach.
Cliff Deacon has been appointed as physiotherapist, Grant Lowden as strength and conditioning coach, Talha Ijaz as team analyst, Syed Naeem Ahmed as team media manager, Colonel Usman Anwari as team security manager, and Dr Wajid Ali Rifai as team doctor. Muhammad Ehsan Masiur will also accompany the team to Sri Lanka.
