Senator Dar Congratulates UAE on World Governments Summit, Highlights Pakistan-UAE Ties

ISLAMABAD: In a significant move to reinforce the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a productive bilateral meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the UAE, in Abu Dhabi today.
The two leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions, focusing on enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, defense, and cultural exchange. Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening people-to-people connections and fostering deeper collaboration in these key areas.
Senator Dar congratulated the UAE leadership for successfully hosting the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai, which took place from February 11-13, and praised the UAE’s efforts in promoting global dialogue and cooperation. He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its multifaceted partnership with the UAE, particularly emphasizing the vital role of the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE as a bridge between the two nations. He also thanked the UAE for its ongoing support of Pakistan’s economic development.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in response, reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to strengthening its strategic relationship with Pakistan. He recognized Pakistan’s contributions to regional stability and acknowledged the positive impact of the Pakistani community in the UAE’s development.

Both leaders agreed to maintain regular high-level engagements and consultations to further enhance bilateral ties and to coordinate on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
