Pakistan U19 start tri-series opening campaign against Afghanistan on Saturday in Harare
Pakistan U19 Asia Cup champions start tri-series against Afghanistan, preparing for ICC U19 World Cup in Harare, Zimbabwe, January 2026.
Asian Cricket Council: Pakistan, the reigning ACC Menโs Under-19 Asia Cup champions, will begin their tri-series campaign against Afghanistan on Saturday, 27 December, at Harare Sports Club. Fresh from a dominant 191-run victory over India in the Asia Cup final in Dubai on 21 December, Pakistan enter the 50-over series with strong momentum.
The tri-series also features hosts Zimbabwe, ensuring Pakistan will play at least four matches. They meet Zimbabwe at Prince Edward School on 29 December, face Afghanistan again at Sunrise Sports Club on 2 January, and conclude the league stage against Zimbabwe on Sunday, 4 January.

- Pakistan U19, fresh from winning the ACC Asia Cup, begin their tri-series campaign against Afghanistan on 27 December in Harare.
- Tri-series includes Zimbabwe; Pakistan will play four matches to fine-tune strategies ahead of ICC U19 World Cup.
The top two teams of the tournament will contest the final on Tuesday, 6 January.
The tri-series provides a valuable opportunity for all three sides to prepare for the ICC Menโs U19 World Cup, scheduled to be played in Namibia and Zimbabwe from 15 January to 6 February. Pakistan are placed in Group โCโ and will play their group-stage matches in Harare from 16 to 22 January.
The Super Six stage will take place from 25 January to 1 February, followed by the semi-finals on 3 and 4 February. The final of the 16-team tournament will be played at the Harare Sports Club on 6 February.
Pakistan held their first training session on Friday ahead of their first match. Captain Farhan Yousaf, talking to PCB Digital said:
