Pakistan U19 Men’s Volleyball Team Beats Belgium 3-0 in World Championship Opener

Pakistan hopes to continue their impressive run in this prestigious international event.

Tashkent– Pakistan’s U19 Men’s Volleyball Team started their campaign at the FIVB Boys’ U19 Volleyball World Championship 2025 with a stunning 3-0 victory over Belgium in their opening match on Thursday.

The Green Shirts showcased a powerful attacking performance, winning the sets 25-19, 25-17, and 25-22. Mohammad Saud led the team with 13 points, while Mohammad Yahya and Mohammad Jabran contributed 11 and 8 points respectively. Pakistan dominated in all aspects of the game, including blocking and service, scoring 11 points through blocks and 32 points from attacks.

Chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Ch Mohammad Yaqoob, praised the team’s historic win, highlighting their maturity and brilliance on the world stage. He said, “This victory is a proud moment for Pakistan and shows that our volleyball is progressing well, especially following the U16 team’s gold medal win and qualification for the U17 World Championship.”

The tournament features 24 top volleyball nations including Brazil, Italy, Japan, Iran, USA, France, and Poland. Pakistan is competing in Pool A along with Belgium, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Puerto Rico.
