Pakistan U19 Face New Zealand In Crucial Super Six Clash
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – : Pakistan Under-19 will begin their Super Six campaign of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup with a clash against New Zealand Under-19 at the Harare Sports Club on Tuesday, 27 January. The young Pakistan side will then face arch-rivals India in their second Super Six fixture at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday, 1 February.
Ahead of the opening Super Six encounter, the Farhan Yousaf-led squad held an intensive training session at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare. The players focused on fielding drills and net practice under the supervision of head coach Shahid Anwar and the coaching staff.

Pakistan and New Zealand have met 16 times in ICC U19 World Cup history, with Pakistan holding a dominant record of 12 wins compared to New Zealand’s four victories. The two teams last faced each other in the previous edition in South Africa, where Pakistan registered a convincing 10-wicket win in East London.
Speaking to PCB Digital, Pakistan U19 captain Farhan Yousaf expressed confidence in his side’s preparations, saying the team had benefited from scenario-based practice matches and understands the importance of every game in the knockout stage. He praised the collective fielding effort and highlighted bowler Ali Raza’s role in providing early breakthroughs and momentum.
With momentum on their side following wins over Scotland and Zimbabwe, Pakistan U19 will look to continue their strong run as they enter the decisive phase of the tournament.
