Pakistan to receive rains from Aug 29 to Sept 2: Met Department

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecast rain across the country from August 29 to September 2.
According to a statement issued from Islamabad, rain is likely in the upper and central regions of the country from August 29 to September 2, with heavy rains posing a risk of landslides in mountainous areas.
Rain with thunder is expected in various parts of Kashmir from August 29 to September 2 and in Gilgit-Baltistan from September 30 to September 2.
According to the details, rain is expected in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from August 29 to September 1 in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Nowshera, Kohat, Karak, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, and DI Khan.

Heavy rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Khushab, Sargodha, and other areas from August 29 to September 2.
Due to heavy rains, there is a possibility of flooding in the rivers and canals of different areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the low-lying areas of Islamabad may be flooded.
