Pakistan threatens India with stronger response ahead of Pahalgam attack anniversary
Pakistan Stands Firm: Asif Warns India That Any New Aggression Will Be Met With a Stronger and More Decisive Response Than Before
Pakistan Vs India – (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif made it very clear this week. Pakistan wants peace. But it will not back down if provoked.
Asif sent a direct message to his Indian counterpart. He said Pakistan is fully ready to defend itself. Any threat will be met with a fast and firm response.
His words came after India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh warned Pakistan against any “misadventure.” Singh made those remarks in the context of rising tensions in the region.
Asif pushed back strongly. He wrote on X that thinking there is room for war between two nuclear states is simply dangerous thinking. He said such a war would have terrible consequences for everyone.
Tensions between the two countries go back to last May. India launched missile strikes inside Pakistan after accusing Islamabad of being behind the Pahalgam tourist attack in Kashmir. Pakistan denied any involvement. It also asked for a neutral investigation. India never agreed to that.
The strikes killed several Pakistani civilians and security personnel. Pakistan hit back hard. It shot down seven Indian fighter jets including three Rafale jets. It also destroyed dozens of drones and an S-400 defence system.
The fighting stopped on May 10 after the United States helped broker a ceasefire.
Now with the anniversary of Pahalgam coming up Asif had more to say. He accused India of using the attack as a staged crisis. He said the whole episode fell apart under international scrutiny. In his words India relied on a manufactured story that the world did not buy.

“Such threat-mongering is not new; it is part of a predictable pattern — externalising internal fragility, and attempting to provoke escalation under the garb of unsubstantiated allegations for vested political interests,” he said.
The defence minister said that history stood as a stark reminder that miscalculation has consequences. “Marka-e-Haq remains fresh in our minds. The next time our response will be even more forceful and decisive.
Repeated rhetoric reflects not strength, but visible strategic anxiety as the anniversary of the staged False Flag Operation in Pahlgam approaches – an episode that failed to withstand international scrutiny and exposed New Delhi’s reliance on manufactured crises.

“Let there be no ambiguity: Pakistan remains committed to peace and regional stability, but its resolve to defend sovereignty is absolute, its preparedness complete, and its response will be swift, calibrated, and decisive,” he said.
The defence czar further said, “Let me remind Rajnath Singh that the illusion of space for war between two nuclear states is inconceivable and has drastic consequences.
“India would be better served by confronting the growing unease within its own strategic and diplomatic space,” he added.
