Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an 18-member Test squad for the upcoming home series against South Africa. Shan Masood will continue as captain, leading the team with experience and guidance.
The squad includes three new faces: Asif Afridi, Faisal Akram, and Rohail Nazir. These players bring fresh talent and excitement to the team.
A national training camp will be held in Lahore from September 30 to October 8. Players currently playing in the Asia Cup will join the camp on October 4.
The first Test match between Pakistan and South Africa will take place at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, from October 12 to 16. The second Test is scheduled in Rawalpindi from October 20 to 24.
Key players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi are part of the squad. Other important members include Abdullah Shafiq, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, and Saud Shakeel, strengthening Pakistan’s batting line-up.
The squad also features all-rounder Aamir Jamal, along with fast bowlers Hassan Ali and Khurram Shahzad, providing a strong balance between batting and bowling.

Pakistan’s spin attack includes Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Kamran Ghulam, and Abrar Ahmed. The inclusion of left-arm spinner Asif Afridi, young spinner Faisal Akram, and wicketkeeper-batter Rohail Nazir adds more depth and variety to the bowling department.
