Pakistan technically entered default, claims Sheikh Rashid
London: (Web Desk) Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Thursday said that Pakistan has technically entered default. Talking to media in London, Sheikh Rashid said non-issuance of letters of credit (LCs) is crippling industrial activities and added that government lacks financial resources for importers which mean that the country technically entered default.
According to the source, Sheikh Rashid said that there has been no contact with the establishment for the past 10 months. The former interior minister said Imran Khan’s demand for early elections in the country was legitimate as it was the only solution to steer the country out of prevailing crises.
As per details Sheikh Rashid said that Imran Khan has destroyed the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), the alliance of 13 political parties, and now the now PDM members are not able to go to the people. He said that 385 people were benefited due to amendment in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws. Sheikh Rasheed said that NAB fugitives are living in London.
