Pakistan Targets Terrorist Hideouts in Afghanistan: Tarar

Ataullah Tarar Confirms Pakistan Strikes Taliban Infrastructure in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Pakistan is conducting targeted operations against militant hideouts inside Afghanistan based on verified intelligence, said Federal Minister for Information Ataullah Tarar.

The minister emphasized that these operations do not target civilian areas and focus solely on terrorist infrastructure and support networks.

Addressing claims made by the Afghan Taliban regime, Tarar dismissed the figures as “fictional” and misleading. He also rejected assertions by the Afghan Ministry of Defense suggesting that Pakistan suffered setbacks, calling them propaganda.

Tarar further noted that reports from the United Nations mission in Kabul regarding civilian casualties are unreliable, as the agency relies primarily on information provided by the Taliban government.

Highlighting cross-border security threats, he pointed out that attacks by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna-al-Khawarij demonstrate clear coordination between multiple terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory.

He added that Pakistan has responded promptly and effectively to all such attacks, targeting terrorist positions and their logistical support, including Taliban military bases, with precision.
