Pakistan Suspends Consular Services for SCO Summit
Temporary halt from October 14 to 17 to facilitate the summit.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has announced a temporary suspension of consular services from October 14 to 17 in preparation for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
This pause is intended to ensure the summit runs smoothly. However, to provide ongoing assistance to citizens, consular services will remain available at liaison offices in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Gujrat during this time. Officials encourage those in need of consular support to visit these offices for required services.
In addition, the government has declared three public holidays in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from October 14 to 16 to coincide with the 23rd SCO meeting scheduled to take place in the capital. A notification from the Cabinet Division, approved by the prime minister, confirms that these holidays will help facilitate security measures and ensure the successful execution of this important international event.
