Pakistan Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression in the Middle East

Islamabad denounces attacks on Lebanese civilians, calls for international intervention.

Islamabad-On Sunday, Pakistan issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s increasing military actions in the Middle East, expressing deep concern over the escalating violence and violation of international law. The Pakistani Foreign Office highlighted the alarming rise in Israeli attacks on civilian populations and the destabilization of the region, particularly Lebanon, where Israeli forces have been targeting civilian areas for several days.

“Israeli forces have engaged in an unacceptable violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, relentlessly attacking civilian population centers and undermining its security and stability,” the Foreign Office spokesperson stated. Pakistan extended its deepest condolences to the victims and their families, as well as to the people of Lebanon, who have suffered immense loss due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.

The situation took a dramatic turn with the death of Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday. The attack, which destroyed several buildings in Beirut, marks a significant escalation in the already tense and volatile Middle Eastern conflict. The death of Nasrallah, who had led Hezbollah for nearly three decades and was a central figure in Lebanon’s resistance against Israeli aggression, is seen as a major blow to the group.

Despite the loss of their leader, Hezbollah has vowed to continue its fight against Israel. The group remains resolute in its resistance efforts, determined to carry on the battle despite the severe setback. The Israeli military confirmed that they had conducted a precise airstrike targeting Hezbollah leadership while they were meeting at their headquarters in Dahiyeh, located in southern Beirut.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that the strikes on Friday killed six people and left 91 others injured. The airstrike leveled six apartment buildings, adding to the devastation in a city that has been reeling from conflict for years. This strike represents the most significant attack on the Lebanese capital in the past year, and observers fear that it may push the conflict closer to a full-scale war.

The death toll in Lebanon over the past week has already surpassed 720, underscoring the severity of the ongoing violence. Civilian casualties continue to mount, and the situation shows no signs of abating as Israeli forces ramp up their military operations.

Pakistan expressed its solidarity with Lebanon in these difficult times. The Foreign Office called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to take immediate action to prevent further escalation and ensure that Israel respects international law. “We urge the United Nations Security Council to restrain Israel from its adventurism in the region and violations of international law, and to restore peace in the Middle East,” the spokesperson added.

Pakistan’s call for action reflects growing international concern over the deteriorating situation in the region. Many fear that unchecked Israeli aggression could lead to further destabilization in the Middle East, drawing more countries into the conflict. With tensions running high, the need for international mediation and intervention has become more urgent to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control.
