Ali Pervaiz Malik Leads Pakistani Delegation at FMF 2026

RIYADH: (Web Desk) – Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, is leading the Pakistani delegation at the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) 2026, hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. On the sidelines, he met H.E. Bandar Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties in mining and mineral sectors, exploring joint investment opportunities, and enhancing collaboration along the mineral value chain.

The Saudi Minister praised Pakistan’s participation, emphasizing the growing global focus on mining and critical minerals. He highlighted the potential for Pakistan–Saudi cooperation and assured support through technical expertise and knowledge resources. Ali Pervaiz Malik reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening relations, noting collaboration plans between the Geological Survey of Pakistan and the Saudi Geological Survey. He also highlighted Pakistan’s mineral-rich Tethyan Belt, potential in fertilizer production, and opportunities in medical equipment manufacturing for joint ventures.

The Pakistani delegation includes senior policymakers, heads of state-owned enterprises, private sector representatives, and leading mining companies such as PPL, OGDCL, Mari Energies, GHPL, FWO, PMDC, Saindak Metals, and other Balochistan-based mineral firms. Pakistan’s participation, organized by PPL with the Ministry of Energy, showcases the country’s geology, flagship mining projects, and investment opportunities under the theme “Mineral Marvel – Unleashing Pakistan’s Mineral Revolution.”

H.E. Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, welcomed the delegation, praising Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik for strengthening Pakistan–Saudi relations. During his visit, H.E. Bandar Al-Khorayef also appreciated the Pakistan Pavilion’s design and impactful presentation.
