Colombo: (Web Desk) – Pakistan booked their place in the Super 8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup with a dominant 102-run victory over Namibia in a Group A encounter played in Colombo.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bat, a decision that paid rich dividends as Pakistan posted a formidable 199 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs.

The innings was headlined by an outstanding maiden T20 World Cup century from Sahibzada Farhan, who remained unbeaten on 100 off 57 deliveries. Farhan’s innings featured four sixes and ten fours, anchoring Pakistan’s batting display. He received solid support from Salman Ali Agha, who struck a brisk 38 off 23 balls, while Shadab Khan added an aggressive 36.

Pakistan’s bowlers delivered a clinical performance, with Shadab Khan claiming three wickets for 19 runs. Spinner Usman Tariq was the standout performer, ripping through Namibia’s lineup with four wickets for just 16 runs.

The emphatic win confirmed Pakistan’s qualification for the Super 8 stage from Group A, alongside India, keeping their T20 World Cup campaign firmly on track.
