Speaker Punjab Assembly Meets Hurriyat Delegation, Condemns Indian Atrocities in IIOJK
Lahore (Asif Iqbal):Acting Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, met with a delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference at the Punjab Assembly Secretariat yesterday.
During the meeting, the Acting Speaker reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause, stating, “Pakistan views your struggle for freedom with utmost respect. We consider Kashmir our lifeline and will continue to extend political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people.”
He strongly condemned the human rights violations and brutalities perpetrated by Indian forces in Indian-occupied Kashmir. “Pakistan stands firmly with its Kashmiri brothers and advocates for their rights on all international platforms, including the United Nations, the OIC, and other global institutions,” he added.

Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar also emphasized the Pakistani Parliament’s consistent support for Kashmir’s right to self-determination through unanimous resolutions. “I personally salute the struggle of the Kashmiri people and have always raised my voice for their cause at every level — and will continue to do so.”
He assured the visiting delegation that their suggestions, concerns, and proposals would be conveyed to the government with utmost seriousness. “May Allah accept your sacrifices and bring forth the dawn of freedom soon. Ameen.”
The meeting was also attended by former Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal, senior leader Mian Manshaullah Butt, Punjab Assembly Chief Whip Rana Arshad, Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan, Ms. Raheela Khadim, and Mr. Agha Ali Haider.
