ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has convened an emergency meeting of its Executive Board today at 3:00 PM at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. The session, chaired by Executive Board President Rana Sanaullah, will focus on approving developmental projects for the first quarter of the new fiscal year.
A total of Rs. 1.17 billion has been allocated for the first quarter, with approval expected for budget allocations to eight ongoing projects and two new initiatives.

Approval of budgets for eight ongoing sports infrastructure projects, including:

Installation of a mechanical lab at the Sports Complex.

Synthetic track and floodlight installation at Karachi Sports Complex.

Scoreboard repairs at Islamabad Sports Complex (Rs. 1.769 billion allocated).

General infrastructure repair and construction at Pakistan Sports Complex (Rs. 750 million allocated).
-
Air conditioning installation at Liaquat Gymnasium (Rs. 470 million allocated).
-
Development of sports facilities in Skardu (Rs. 764 million allocated).
-
Karachi Sports Complex upgrades (Rs. 397 million allocated).
-
South Asian Games preparation (Rs. 1.949 billion earmarked).

New Projects on the Agenda:

Establishment of the Arshad Nadeem Shehbaz Sharif High Performance Sports Academy in Islamabad, with an allocation of Rs. 2.852 billion.

Construction of a Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Faisalabad (Rs. 241 million).

Development of two pedestrian courts in Faisalabad.

A new multi-ball sports gymnasium in Faisalabad.
The Executive Board will also formally approve spending of the Rs. 1.17 billion released for the quarter. This approval is a mandatory step for utilizing the developmental budget.
